Cagliari

D01: ARRIVAL IN CAGLIARI 

The journey begins on Day 1 in Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. You will explore the fortified Castello district, visiting the Roman amphitheatre, the Cattedrale di Santa Maria, and the Bastione di Saint Remy. Lunch will be in the culinary hub of the Marina quarter. The afternoon includes a visit to the Museo Archeologico Nazionale to see artifacts from the Nuragic era, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Cagliari.

 

 

Nora

D02: NORA - SANT’ANTIOCO

On Day 2, you will head south to explore ancient history. Your first stop is Nora, one of the oldest Phoenician settlements, to walk among its well-preserved ruins by the sea. Afterward, you will continue to the island of Sant'Antioco, where you will explore the catacombs and the Tophet, an ancient Phoenician sanctuary. Dinner and overnight will be in the Sant'Antioco area.

 

   

Tharros

D03: BARUMINI - THARROS 

Day 3 is dedicated to major archaeological sites. You will start at Barumini to visit Su Nuraxi (UNESCO World Heritage site), the most famous complex of the mysterious Nuragic civilization. In the afternoon, you will drive to the western coast to explore the ruins of Tharros, an ancient Phoenician city. The day concludes with a visit to the abandoned village of Borgo di San Salvatore di Sinis before a fish-based dinner. Overnight will be in Oristano or Guspini.

 

 

Barbagia

D04: BARBAGIA AREA WITH THE GREEN TRAIN 

Day 4 takes you to the heart of the island in the Barbagia region to experience authentic Sardinian culture. The highlight is a scenic ride on the Trenino Verde (Green Train), a narrow-gauge railway. You will visit the town of Ulassai for lunch and the 'Su Marmuri' Handicraft Weaving Cooperative. You will then continue to Arbatax for dinner and an overnight stay, known for its striking red porphyry rocks.

 

Ogliastra

D05: ARBATAX - OLBIA 

On Day 5, you will travel from the eastern coast of Arbatax toward Olbia in the northeast. Along the way, you will stop in the village of Dorgali to visit the well-preserved Nuragic village of Serra Orrios and the collective funerary monument of Giants' tomb of Sa Ena ‘e Thomes. In the late evening, you will arrive in Olbia, visiting the Basilica of San Simplicio before dinner and an overnight stay.

 

 

Aggius

D06: OLBIA - ALGHERO 

Day 6 crosses the northern part of the island from east to west. You will visit Aggius, a characteristic stone village, for a typical lunch. In the afternoon, on the way to Alghero, you will stop at two unique Romanesque churches: Sant'Antioco di Bisarcio and Santa Trinità di Saccargia. You will arrive in Alghero ("little Barcelona"), exploring its historic walled center and walking along the ramparts. Dinner will feature the local Catalan-influenced cuisine.

 

 

 

 

Nuraghi Valley

D07: ALGHERO - VALLE DEI NURAGHI – BOSA - ALGHERO

Day 7 is a scenic day trip from Alghero. You will head inland to the Valle dei Nuraghi, visiting Nuragic monuments like the necropolis of "domus de Janas," giants' graves, and the Palmavera Nuraghe complex. Afterward, you will drive south along the spectacular coastal road to the colorful town of Bosa, known for its pastel houses and Malvasia wine. You will return to Alghero for dinner and overnight.

 

Alghero

D08: ALGHERO - AIRPORT

Day 8 is your final morning in Alghero. You can enjoy some last-minute souvenir shopping or a relaxing stroll before heading to the airport for your departure, concluding your journey through Sardinia.

 

 

 

Upon your request, we can organize a relaxing extension (2-7 days) on the amazing beaches of Sardinia, with options available for every budget. We suggest the following places: Oristano, the Green Coast (Piscinas and its sand dunes), Alghero, and San Giudeu (Chia), where the shallow and crystalline waters make the beaches perfect for relaxing in a unique environment. For lovers of rocky shores and caves, Gulf of Orosei, Costa Paradiso, Capo Caccia and Capo Testa are suggested. For those who want a luxury holiday, Villasimius and Costa Smeralda are excellent choices.

 

 

The individual participation fee includes:

- All the transfers by private bus + driver
- Hotels 3-4 stars or typical Sardinian resorts (Double Occupancy B&B)
- Half Board (dinner in typical restaurants or hotel)
- Sardinian english speaking professional guide, other languages as requested

It does not include:
